Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities include:
Efficient Error intake and triage - ability to take a reported error and coordinate efforts to understand the root cause, any controls which may be lacking, technical fix requirements and ultimately lead the effort to understand the customer and financial impacts.
A key requirement is to identify early on in the triage process any potential regulatory risk in terms of policy and regulatory timelines.
Produce detailed and palatable error reports and declarations up to an including board level, provide timely assessments of errors ensuring necessary senior management and stakeholder awareness.
Liaise with the Business lines and senior management on error matters.
Ability to deal with all business lines across Payments at all levels, including board level;Task force management - Ability to pull together and lead cross departmental and multi-disciplined teams to triage, review and resolve errors/issues, ability to lead a diverse team of individuals over a sustained period of time to ensure error remediation.
This will involve the chairing of regular calls and meetings and providing detailed call minutes and next steps.
Tracking all updates and developments in relation to an error on the Errors Database, these updates must be clear, detailed and fit for Auditor and Regulator scrutiny, other internal error trackers are also used.
Foster and strengthen relationships with key teams, including Complaints, Incident Management and Compliance,Ensure that Error Framework training is consistently delivered to all Payments business areas and all training documents and resources are maintained in accordance with changing risk guidelines;Ability to spot trends and patterns which may be indicative of wider issues, ability to not accept an error on face value but to apply the error expertize and consider what the wider impacts may beDevelop expert understanding and knowledge of error remediation including communication to customers, refund processing, system changes and process enhancements.
Foster an excellent working relationship with Key stakeholder in the remediation process - Marketing, Payment Exceptions, FLOD and SLOD.
Ability to participate in Audits from an SME perspective and be able to comprehensively speak to the process and documented rationale on remediation.
Business Readiness - As part of the Operations team be a key advocate for the various operations teams in terms of their understanding of any given error, furnish the teams with updates to allow them to assess impacts to their teams, working with the front line and relationship management teams is of particular importance so that the focus on customers is carried through to all customer interactions on errors with Elavon.
Understand the key internal policies and various Central Banks requirements and regulation which underpin the error handling processSkills and Experience Required:
Previous experience within Financial Services; Ideally experience in a Risk or Compliance role;Exposure to the Payments business would be a distinct advantage;Ability to influence without management authority and build consensus among stakeholders;Excellent team player with ability to take ownership of role and work under own initiative.
Ability to understand and interpret regulations, regulatory guidance and apply such in a practical manner in an operational environment;Excellent verbal and written communication skills;Ability to research and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously;Working knowledge of government and regulatory laws and regulations;PC literacyutilizing a variety of software packages including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
